Coach François Zahoui of Niger has boasted
that the Menas are capable of pulling an upset by beating the home based
Super Eagles of Nigeria in today’s Group C African Nations Championship
fixture at the Kigali Regional Stadium.
Zahoui who believes it would be a very though encounter added that
although the Super Eagles are a very formidable side, they are beatable.
“We are not afraid of Nigeria,” he started. “We know they have a strong team, but they are beatable.”
“We expect a very competitive game against going by the quality of players in their team. “I also believe in my players and they are in great spirit ahead of the game. “It will be good if we can start the competition on a positive note as it will improve the confidence of my players.”
It would be recalled that both teams engaged in a friendly at the Adokiye Amasiemaka stadium in Port Harcourt on September 8, 2015 where Nigeria triumphed 2 – 0.
