OGUN STATE POLICE DEPARTMENT HAS APPREHENDED 6 SUSPECTED CULTIST AND 2 KIDNAPPERS

Police operatives attached to Agbado division in Ifo local government area of Ogun state has arrested six suspected cultists on Tuesday, January 13.
The suspects are: Michael Ayodele, Taofik Adeosun, Oladipupo Damilare,Femi Iseotan,Samuel Akinyele and Anjorin Ismail.
The arrested suspects are to be members of ‘Aye’ and ‘Alora’ confraternity, who clashed recently within the area for supremacy.
A member of the rival group,Alora, one Yusuf Ogidan was reportedly killed during the fracas.
It learnt that the police embarked on massive raid of black spots in Agbado Township and its environs after a tip-off on the locations of the suspected cultists.
In a statement release today and signed by the Ogun state police spokesman, Muyiwa Adejobi, the suspects have made useful statements in connection with the killing.
Also, two persons have been arrested for abducting two female teenagers in Sango-Otta area of Ado Odo/Ota local government area of the state.

The two suspected kidnappers are; Rasheed Lasisis of Koleoso compound, Ijemo-Agbaadu, Abeokuta and Jimoh Dada.
The victims (names withheld), resides at Ogunade area, Onihale, in Ifo were kidnapped at their residence.
The police detectives attached to Otta Division while on anti-crime patrol along Ijako/Sona road,Otta, rescued the two female teenagers from their abductors.
It was revealed that the kidnappers tried to escape through Otta Township, before they were intercepted by the police.
The state commissioner of police,  Abdulmajid Ali  commended the police operatives for the good jobs and urged  them not to relent on their oars.
The police chief has, however, directed that all the suspects be transferred to the State Department of Criminal Investigation and Intelligence, DCII, Eleweran, Abeokuta, for further Investigation..
Ali vowed that cultists would not get any chance again in the state to raise their heads.
In related development, the Rivers state Police Command has foiled an armed robbery attack at a petrol station along East-West road by Etohu in Tai local government area in Ogoniland killing two and arresting one suspect.
In a press statement issued by the Command’s police public relations Officer, Ahmad Muhammad, said that on Wednesday January 28 at about 3:30 pm, team of policemen on a tip off stormed the robbery scene at a Petrol station.
The armed robbers who on sensing the police were approaching them fled the scene but were chased and engaged by the Anti-Robbery Squad.
As the police gave them hot chase, a gun duel ensued and in the process two (2) of the armed robbers were fatally wounded while others escaped with gunshot wounds after they were over-powered by the overwhelming fire power of the police.
“One fleeing armed robbers, namely: Emeka Eze ‘m’ 28 years was later arrested following immediate combing of bush around the scene,” Muhammad said.
