
Pastor Felix Olu Fadare
Fadare was apprehended by operatives of the Special Fraud Unit and arraigned before Igbosere magistrates court.
The police said the pastor conspired with one Adeola Ajidahun to defraud Ola of the sum of N50 under the pretense that he had plots of land to sell.
The pair presented fake papers to the victim and even took him to see land that belonged to another family. The unsuspecting victim paid the money through his bank.
Tony Ezeoke, another victim reportedly lost N100 million on the same land.
During investigation, it was revealed that the suspects had defrauded a lot of people and that the pastor was presented as an estate agent.
Fadare however pleaded not guilty to the charges of conspiracy, obtaining money under false pretences and stealing.
Mrs A. O. Awogboro, the presiding magistrate granted the suspect bail in the sum of N5m with two sureties in like sum. The sureties are expected to provide evidence of tax payments for three years.
Fadare was remanded in Ikoyi prison pending his meeting bail conditions.
