The media had reported the purported dollars was allegedly found in the guest houses and the presidential lodge currently in use by ex-Governor Godswill Akpabio, Senate Minority leader.
In a statement signed by the group leader, Ediong Moses, said “Immediately this picture was released by the APC, it became a trending topic all over the social media as many Nigerians began insulting former governor Akpabio saying how could the collective wealth of the people be so brazenly looted by him.
“Many Nigerians bought the propaganda instantly because the picture looked too real to be false until one Emmanuel Umeh a Twitter user @emmaikumeh and Adetutue Balogun @Tutsy22 punctured the propaganda after they carried out a google search image which revealed that the picture APC were circulating all over the social media was that of the mission Iraq billions.
“What the APC propagandist did was to just go to the internet, searched for the image of the missing Iraq billions and started circulating it as the picture of the stockpiles of dollars allegedly found in Uyo and they made the picture go viral.
The group wondered why it has taken the DSS and the APC to produce the dollars found in the state government house.
“Those who were present at the time of the search of the Guest House were the Director of DSS, Akwa Ibom State, The Commissioner of Police, the Head of the Military Formation, Head of the Joint task Force (JTF) and governor Emmanuel Udom. One, therefore, must wonder where on earth did APC and their propagandist get the story about stockpiles of dollars in Uyo Government House?
“The questions Nigerians must begin to ask now after over two weeks of the raid on Akwa Ibom Guest House where stockpiles of dollars was allegedly found in the chalet where former governor Akapbio stayed, where is the $500,000,000 (Five Hundred Million Dollars) Akpabio’s money found as alleged by the APC?
“If it is true that Akpabio had $500,000,000 why did Sahara Reporters an online APC blog recently reported that the Credit Card of Akpabio was declined in a London Hotel and he couldn’t pay his hotel bills there, which eventually resulted into him being kicked out of the said hotel?
The group therefore appealed to Akapbio state to head directly to the DSS upon his return back to the country to claim his $500,000,00.
Recall that the PDP had said the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) has confirmed its culpability in a number of anti-democratic actions of government agencies lately, psarticularly the mindless invasion of the akwa ibom state government house and the interference in the activities of the state election tribunal.
