Emmanuel and Anna came back from school and as they were playing hide and seek in the premises, Emmanuel ran inside their apartment and she followed him. Emmanuel allegedly asked Anna to remove her clothes and undies and she did. The duo climbed into Emmanuel’s father’s bed and were on it when the father, a commercial mini- bus driver, identified as David Udoh opened the door and caught the two kids in the act.
Mr Udoh dragged the children outside and before he raised the alarm. Anna’s mother, Sarah blamed 10-year old Emmanuel. Both Parents then proceeded to tongue lash each other before neighbors intervened.
When asked what transpired, Anna said, “It was Emmanuel that told me to remove my clothes, including undies so that we could do it. I told him no and he pushed me to the bed and I pulled my clothes. He removed my pant.” Emmanuel’s version of events was not printed.
Both children were given 10 strokes of the cane as punishment for the offence
